Expected the SGF-G9 as pictured which evidently replaces the G1 even though product description says SGF-G1. Filter came sealed in plastic. Filtration ratings are just so the same for in cooperation products. Filled including water & soaked as instructed & filter went in including no problem although did have to push up on the filter rather firmly to get it to go in & had a small bit of spillage from the filled filter as it went in and was turned, but no leaks after turning & sealed. Good flow & mine had no loose carbon dust evident during soaking or initial 1 gallon purge. Water is good. Really like the fact of green environmental manufacture process (hope it's real & not hype!!). Great pricing on this compared to the GE MWF filter it replaced. Noticed the same company (Global Shop Bring to a standstill) also offers the SGF-G1 including correct SGF-G1 picture for $1 cheaper...old stock?
