I've been purchasing these filters for years. They work great and the water tastes clean and is emancipated of chlorine odor/taste. As long as Pur keeps making making these filters, I'll keep buying them. Wish they would occasionally be available on sale, but they seldom are.

I bought the filter adapter a couple of years earlier cycle. I have found including the intention of filtered water makes much better-tasting coffee than unfiltered tap water, and by a filter emotionally caught up directly to the faucet is much more water supply-located and economical than buying bottled water.

I think the filters are splendid, but the way they were shipped was very poor. They were loose in a bag, alot of charcoal inside of bag.I hope it does'nt effect the performance of the filter!

I bought this Faucet-mounted dispenser, in Chrome, from Lowes...about a year ago. I bought 3-pack with 3-pack of replacement filters. They are not cheap. About 13-15 bucks a cut. There are no generic replacements, only BRAND NAME replacement filters will work. At the start of all, they DO make a variation in the taste of average poor tasting LAS VEGAS tap fill up. The taste changes from improper to acceptable. Good for building coffee. You have to let fill up flow owing to them for a few minutes at the start, to get the baggy filtering charcoal dust to wash out, before big any containers for usage. You will see the charcoal dust sponge down out of the opening, as you at the start run fill up owing to the NEW filter. With that, no tribulations afterward. There is a built-in warning light in the dispenser, that for a short time pulses a YELLOW LED light, to warn you that it is being paid close to time to change the filter. This only pulses once, for a short time, as you at the start turn on the faucet. When the filter is equipped to change, the warning light for a short time pulses a RED LED. I have no idea everywhere the potential source comes from. It must be in the dispenser. Yet there is NO bring up of the Battery replacement, nor is there any bring up of the LED warning logic on the Filter boxes, or the dispenser box. It must work like a refrigerator fill up filter warning light, that has no idea of the affect up reputation of the actual filter, but rather, counts the number of uses, and determines, based on the number of era you used it, the approximate reputation of the filter. As the filter is used, and the warning reputation light goes from GREEN to YELLOW, you progressively DO notice the taste of the fill up, becoming more bad tasting. When the reputation light is in the RED warning mode, the fill up is noticeably bad tasting at that time. So, the warning illumination are sweet close to true. Here's the issue, everywhere the total logic is a ripoff. On the filter boxes, each filter is promised to give up 50 gallons of good-tasting fill up. I have even seen advertisements that promise "UP TO" 100 gallons of fresh-tasting fill up. This is a lie.Since I only use mine for coffee, it has been easy to rate how many gallons of fill up I can get from each filter, before the warning light goes from GREEN each use, to YELLOW each use. (I have done this measurement, numerous era,...with the same consequences.) That is approximately 15 gallons. I have never gotten more than 20 gallons, before the RED LED warning light comes on, and the fill up is noticeably bad tasting. So, approximately 15 gallons of drinkable fill up, at an approximate cost of a buck a gallon. Since this dispenser has no real way of determining the reputation of the filter, I take upon yourself that EVERYONE will get the same 15-20 gallons of fill up, before it is time to change the filter. .....using the method of counting uses, instead of measuring actual filter affect up. I noticed that NONE of the additional commenters even mentioned this little fact. To me, that seems very odd, since it is a very important issue. If it is value it to you to waste a buck a gallon to have fresh-tasting fill up in your home, instead of having to go get it, or have it delivered, that is your decision to make. But I judge that it is very deceptive for this companionship to promise 50 gallons of Fresh-tasting fill up per filter, and give up less than half of that amount. Also, at approximately 13-15 bucks per filter, you can get a slightly better deal on the cost, at about 10 bucks a filter in a 6-pack,...on Ebay, with free shipping.Just a note:I DO soothe have and use my PUR Faucet fill up filtration logic, because I am too lazy to keep buying bottled fill up. But, I do so, begrudgingly,...only because there isn't a additional well-located replacement logic void YET.
